Where can I find a reliable monitor stand for a dual-screen setup?
I’ve recently upgraded my home office and added a second monitor, but now I’m running into a problem I didn’t expect: desk space. My current desk just isn’t designed to comfortably support both screens, and stacking them on top of books (like I’m doing now) is far from ideal in terms of ergonomics and looks. I’m not looking for anything super flashy, just something sturdy that can hold two monitors and ideally has some flexibility for positioning. Bonus if it works well with corner desks, since that’s what I have. I came across this setup that includes a monitor stand monitor stand — the overall design seems practical for a corner layout, but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
So I’m asking: where are you folks finding solid monitor stands lately? Do you go for full desk attachments, or do you prefer something standalone? Any tips from experience would help a lot.
One thing I learned the hard way is to double-check the weight limits and VESA compatibility. Some cheaper models just aren’t built for anything beyond very light screens, and I’ve had one slowly droop over time. I haven’t used the model linked in your post but the overall shape of that desk looks like it could handle a multi-monitor arm pretty well, especially if it has a stable edge. I’d say don’t rush — it's all about matching it to your workflow and posture habits.
